When you browse or buy from CobaltNook, information may include contact details, shipping details, billing details handled through checkout providers, order history, device/browser information, and messages sent to support.
How we use information
We use customer information to process orders, arrange shipping, provide tracking, answer support requests, prevent fraud, improve the website, and send order-related communications.
Payments and checkout
Payment information is processed through secure checkout and payment providers. CobaltNook does not need to store full card numbers to complete normal order support.
Analytics and marketing
The website may use cookies, pixels, analytics, or advertising tools to understand store performance and improve marketing. Visitors can use privacy settings available in their browser or device to limit certain tracking.
Sharing information
Information may be shared with service providers needed to process payments, ship orders, measure website performance, prevent fraud, and answer support requests.
Data retention
Order and payment records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and dispute handling. Analytics (PostHog) and advertising (Meta Pixel) data are kept under those providers' own retention settings; we do not keep separate copies. Review submissions are kept for as long as the review is published or under consideration.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of marketing emails at any time. Email hello@cobaltnook.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell your personal information. Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) may count as “sharing” under California law; email us to opt out, or use your browser's cookie and ad settings.
